The Annual General Meeting of Procrastinators has been postponed

Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

On the left you will see links to sites that I am either affiliated with or just like to hang out at. On the right you will see links to the different parts of this site. If you find any dead links or mistakes, feel free to let me know by dropping me an email: admin (at) escobar.id.au

Woohoo! Not dead!

Haven't updated here in sooo long! Just added an essay on upgrading my Extensa 5220 laptop. I gave it more RAM and a bigger hard drive. And I took pictures!

Construction article

I just uploaded a short article on building a lighting system for small spaces - such as stop motion animation stages. I'll be spreading the word on what I will be using it for soon...

New Essay

Just in time before the end of the year, I have a new essay up on the site. Discussing what aliens would be like, from a sci-fi author point of view. Also, I have plans for another one which will require a bit of a trip to do some research and lots of photos. Hopefully, that one will be done early in January, and be interesting!

Altering the layout

Over the last few months I have not found any good, new webcomics to share. I still read the usuals and I have a whole mess of bookmarks for webcomics that I check on occasion but I don't think that I'll be able to spend enough time finding enough good ones to share them at a rate of one a month.

As a result of that, I am scrapping the "webcomic of the month" idea and moved most of those entries off to a seperate page.

In the meantime, I am unsure what to have on the main page here. I am busy working on Loneverse.com which needs a lot of work and I am writing articles for this site as often as I can (which is not very often - and certainly not one a week like I wanted!) but I still maintain this site the best that I can.

Perhaps I need to re-gain my focus on just what I want this site for...

Finally, set up for work!

It has been a long time coming, but I'm finally set up again and able to run proper updates for this site. The first one is the new article on making my computer quiet - the noise was unbearable before, especially after using the laptop and the new family computer. More updates coming soon... *fingers crossed*

Well, here's a small update...

First of all, I’m not dead – contrary to what everybody hoped.

I’ve been fairly flat out with work (you’ve never heard that lame excuse before), been sick (you’ve never heard that one either) and I’d lost access to the internet for a few weeks (wow, another shocker). Aside from those minor hiccups, life is peachy. And by peachy I mean horrible.

I had some nice webcomics lined up to tell you about for June and July, but since I lost all the data on my machine (and the machine as well, that excuse is a bit rarer) I don’t have the images and notes that I had saved.

By way of consolation, you get diddly – just some lame excuses you’ve read ten thousand times before. I’d do a little sorry dance and post it on YouTube, but nobody wants to see that.

(And if you do want to see that, I might actually do it – so drop me an email and let me know.)
